The Uluru and Surrounds region covers the area immediately surrounding the world heritage listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta Natinal Park, located approximately 450km south west of Alice Springs.
Uluru and Kata Tjuta dominate the landscape of the surrounding Central Australian desert. These massive red rocks are millions and millions of years old. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is the largest rock in the world, rising 348 metres out of the ground and 9.4km around – and that’s just what you can see!
