Bungalow Bay Koala Village is the only resort in Australia that can boast its own wildlife park on site. In-house guests, day visitors and island residents have the opportunity to learn all about the habitats and unique Aussie animals of Magnetic Island, through an interpretative and hands-on approach which encourage you to explore the island and animals of Magnetic Island. Rangers are island residents who have a passion for the environment and know all the island stories. The first hour of the tour is within the wildlife park where you can wrap yourself in a python, hold a lizard, hold a small saltwater crocodile and get to know the icon of Magnetic Island - the koala.  Freshwater crocodiles can been seen on display. The second hour of the wildlife experience is when you explore the nearby habitats of either eucalypt forest, wetlands, mangroves or coastal dunes. Delve into the history of the traditional owners, the Wulgurukaba people, the history of the European settlement of Horseshoe Bay and the unique landscapes and birds an animals of Magnetic Island.
