The Atherton Tablelands is an elevated plateau on the Great Dividing Range, located slightly inland and to the south-west of Cairns.
The region is a wonderland for nature lovers, with the Curtain Fig Tree, Lake Tinaroo, Mt Hypipamee Crater, Undara Lava Tubes, Broomfield Swamp, Paronella Park and the twin crater lakes of Barrine and Eacham.
The Atherton Tablelands has some spectacular scenery which you can enjoy while you are bush walking or bird watching. If you want something that pumps the adrenalin, you can take a ride down some world-class mountain bike trails, get up early for hot air ballooning, or get close to the water for some fishing, sailing or skiing.
