Outback NSW

Outback New South Wales covers most of the north and west of the state, from Lightning Ridge in the north, to White Cliffs, Broken Hill and Corner Country in the west.

The backbone of this region is the mighty Darling River. The Darling River Run is an outback journey that cuts through the centre of the region, where you can sit back and relax in an artesian bath in Lightning Ridge, sit back and enjoy a spot of fishing off the river docks in Bourke, sleep underground at White Cliffs, experience the indigenous culture at the Paroo Darling National Park, and take a tour in a hundred year old mine in Broken Hill.

Take a trip of the River Run and and venture further inland through the red desert to Tibooburra and the Sturt National Park with its rolling sand dunes. This area is Corner Country, where you can play golf across three states where the borders of New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia meet.
